Educational Portal
for Mediation in Language Learning

We offer practical resources for secondary school language teachers to help students transfer meaning, connect cultures, and use language confidently in real-life situations. Our portal offers webinars, ready-to-use activities, teaching materials, and a downloadable e-book to support effective classroom instruction.

We address the lack of resources for implementing CEFR-CV Mediation descriptors by providing hands-on tools and guidance. Through our collaborative approach, we foster intercultural competence, civic engagement, and communication skills for teachers and students alike.

Mediation Activities for Multilingual Classrooms

Abstract

This open-access e-book, tailored for secondary-level classrooms, brings together over 250 mediation activities, lesson plans, and assessment tools across three mediation types, three proficiency levels (A2/B1/B2), and four languages (English, French, Italian, and Spanish). It offers a collection of adaptable, ready-to-use classroom resources to develop learners' ability to mediate texts, communication, and concepts in culturally diverse contexts. The materials are designed to be practical and flexible, enabling teachers to integrate mediation into their teaching practice with ease. In addition, the e-book provides a solid theoretical foundation, methodological guidance, and practical suggestions to support teachers in both implementing the materials and designing their own mediation activities.
